The Fannie Mae Foundation has ceased substantially all of its day-to-day operations.
The Foundation's sole funder, Fannie Mae, announced in February 2007 that it is consolidating its philanthropic initiatives into the Office of Community and Charitable Giving. Stacey D. Stewart, who led the Foundation as president and CEO, joined the company as a senior vice president to head the new office. More information about Fannie Mae's Office of Community and Charitable Giving can be found at www.fanniemae.com. For more information, please click here.
Over the remainder of 2007, many of the Foundation's signature initiatives will continue, including the Help the Homeless Program and annual Walkathon, the Alliance of High Performing Organizations, and many of the fellowship programs.
Please consult FAQ section of the Foundation's Web site for more information about how Fannie Mae's announcement will affect various programs and initiatives going forward.
